A case is not final until a “final order” has been signed by the judge. Once that final order is filed by the clerk, the parties have a period of time during which they can file an appeal. This time period is typically thirty (30) days. Once the appeal period has run, your divorce is actually final. Do not risk the consequence of getting married during the appeal period only to find out that your former spouse has appealed the divorce order.
